My ADHD Book Club

This summer, I have a goal to read. Sounds silly, right? I own a bookstore for Pete’s sake.

The truth is that as a mom to two young kids and a small business owner, one navigating a recent ADHD diagnosis, sustained silent reading has been more challenging than I thought possible.

So. My goal this summer is to read some bestsellers from the past few years.

Currently Reading

I have been slowly making my through Smoke and Ashes, Opium’s Hidden Histories, by Amitav Ghosh. I am curious about the history of India and a good friend recommended this book as a starter.

I need a dictionary and an atlas by my side, and I’ve had to renew it three times from the local library, but it’s been so worth it.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Holy smokes, I loved this book so much. I was not prepared for any of it. I read for TWO HOURS past my bedtime just to finish it. GLORIOUS
